The PMW CapSort is a machine that takes unsorted caps and neatly sorts them by inserting the caps into a track or a chute, ensuring that they have the correct position and orientation for utilization by the closing machinery.

Sensors and photocells monitor the level of caps inside the hopper, to ensure the sort a continuous supply of caps, as needed.  

PMW CapSort is edquipped with a slip clutch that immediately ceases operation once three failures are registered in a row. This not only protects the PMW CapSort from damage, in case of foreign object being stuck in its machinery, but is also an excellent feature for added safety to personnel.   

  • Comes with Ø 600 mm or Ø 800 mm size hopper, with a 3 – 5 L capacity.
  • A single unit can handle over 9.000 caps/hour, depending on cap type.
  • Two units can be fitted on the same frame, for double capacity. 
  • A single PMW CapSort can be configured with two cap chutes to insert caps into, instead of just one. 
  • The units are driven by a 0.25 kW AC gearmotor.

PMW CapSort is an integral part of every PMW Cap handling systems, CapLine  CapAirTrack and CapAir.  
  • In the PMW CapLine system, the PMW CapSort is the last step, where caps are led from the PMW CapLine conveyor down into the hopper of the PMW CapSorter, where they are sorted and fed directly to the filling/closing machinery in a series of cap chutes. 
  
  • In the PMW CapAir system, caps are delivered to the PMW CapSort through an air powered distribution system.  
  • In the PMW CapAirTrack system, the PMW CapSort is placed on the floor, sorting the caps into a series of tracks, fixing the caps in a sorted position as they are blown through a distribution system leading to the filling/capping machinery.
